About Me

  • I am an Assistant Professor at Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering, Korea University, Korea.

  • Before joining Korea University, I was a postdoctoral researcher in School of Computer and Communication Science at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Lausanne, Switzerland, and a postdoctoral researcher in School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea. I was a research intern in Internet Graphics Group, Microsoft Research Asia, Beijing, China. I received the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea, in 2012 and 2018, respectively.

  • My research interests include Computer Vision, Computational Photography, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning, particularly representation learning, visual scene reconstruction and understanding.

In Computer Vision and Machine Learning fields, as opposed to many other disciplines, papers published in top conferences (CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, and NeurIPS) are regarded as more important and influential than most SCI journals in general. For example, CVPR is the 5th rank among all academic fields according to google scholar metrics. Oral or spotlight presentations have an highly competitive accepance rates, about < 5%.
